This is where you choose how warm or cool your photos feel — before you touch the camera.
Your camera's job is to make white look white and blue sky look blue. It does that reliably — which is also why every photo comes out looking the same.
White balance is how you break that rule on purpose. Nudge towards amber and a photo feels like late sun or a lamp-lit room. Nudge towards blue and it feels like dawn, shade or a wet street. A touch of green looks like an old film snapshot; a touch of magenta flatters skin and sunset skies.
That's the whole idea: one small shift, and the same scene can feel cosy, cold, moody or nostalgic.
Try every shift here without touching your camera. Tap a spot you like, read the numbers, then copy them into your camera's white balance — nothing changes until you do.
Your camera shows the same two controls as A (amber) and M (magenta), so the numbers above match what you'll see on screen. Start small — 1 to 3 steps is enough for most photos.
